6 month, or so, summary

Wed Jun 24, 2009, 9:41 AM
wow, didn't realize it was that long...

Well, obviously I'm alright by now. I still feel a bit of happy and sad mix when i replay old memories, but i imagine it'll always be like that. I'm not flat out crying, so that's good.
We had a scare with Massai, not long after maverick passed.

One fear I didn't think about at the time, was what we'd receive Maverick's ashes in. I was so scared to get him back in a plastic bag, it just seems so cheap and disrespectful. Instead, he came in a nice wooden box. not thee best, but it was nice with carvings around it. So nice it made us reconsider the garden idea. After all, if we moved we'd be leaving him behind.

Well, after those events, I found a lump on Massai's leg. Scared the shit out of me. I didn't think I could take losing him to so soon. made the appointment, he got checked out and surgery was scheduled. Those few days, while massai helped me organize our dvds, I found another lump.

Both were removed. One, the 2nd, was just fat but the first was indeed cancerous. it was small but because it was on his leg, we caught it just in time. any bigger and the surgery would be harder.
We got some amusement though. When we picked him up, he wasn't supposed to run or jump...
massai, the furry pinball... mom and me just looked at eachother. the vet laughed and just told us to try our best. Must have done alright, as when we got his bandage changed he was healing just fine.

Ah, speaking of the vet, if one good thing came from Mav's passing it was the change in vets. They're so much more respectful to animals. When Massai went in for surgery, they told us he couldn't be caged cus he got antsy and dug at it constantly. they put him out in the run and he was just fine.
Our old vet never mentioned anything like that which makes me wonder what massai may have been through... maybe that's the real reason he hated the old vet

He also knows how to handle larger animals. he also backs off once he's done the minimun of whats needed, so he doesn't stress massai out as much. Before anything else, he took time to explain things to us using pictures in a book. I really appreciate that, as you usually cant understand jack.

So, what else... parents divorced and it went smoothly. moving lots of stuff around in our house, painted rooms (which sucks! >.<;) and I've had a lot of dentist appointments this month. In cluding surgery for two wisdom teeth yesterday. I was scared as hell cus I hate the idea of surgery in general but it went well. now I get to eat nothing but squishy foods for a while. I'm already freakin craving pizza! ...I wonder what pure pizza tastes like >.>

While I've been logging in now and again, it's mostly for clutter control. I still haven't done anything creative since and I miss it. Just haven't found the inspiration.
I also have to clean out my watch list, as it seem a lot of people have poofed or something. I also need to go through a lot of galleries and fine pics i had waiting to favorite, but they poofed. but all that can wait.

For now, xbox360 and applesauce. lots of applesauce... and meds.

I also stumbled over Oxhorn, tis awesomesauce! [link]

Ah, the obsession had spread

but seriously, I can't express how great it is to hear I inspired someone.
Took a peek in your gallery and you some really great work.

On a differnt note, how's etsy for that sort of thing? I've thought of joining, but don't know how much attention miniatures get there.

Do not seek logic or sanity in my actions...there aint none. :blackrose:

:eye: Like Primal? Might like ~Primal-Club :eye:
Thank you so much. ^_^

Etsy's really fun as far as coming into contact with other artists and getting exposure. But since it's the summer, sales for a lot of people are super super slow. It should pick up come fall when people are looking for gift ideas online.
